“Accessible Molise” Thursday 16 May in Campobasso

CAMPOBASSO – On the occasion of Global Accessibility Day, Italea Molise turns the spotlight on disability and the opportunities related to accessibility in the tourism context. In collaboration with the Molise for All association, it will share the initiative undertaken to create a complete and updated mapping of all accessible places of tourist interest, as well as itineraries and facilities that meet the needs of people with disabilities. The objective is to promote an ambitious project that aims to make Molise an even more welcoming and accessible place for all its visitors.

The event will be an important opportunity to discuss and plan strategies aimed at improving accessibility throughout the Molise region, with a particular focus on tourism. We will bring together experts, representatives of associations, people with disabilities, public administrators to open a discussion on regional policies towards intersectional accessibility also aimed at visitors and tourists from abroad in search of their roots. With the aim of transforming our region into a tourist destination for all, Italea Molise wants to promote Roots Tourism by guaranteeing memorable experiences for every visitor, regardless of their physical and sensorial abilities.

The initiative will be the starting opportunity to actively contribute to the creation of a more inclusive and accessible Molise for all. The initiative falls within the framework of the PNRR project “Roots tourism: an integrated strategy for the recovery of the tourism sector in Italy post Covid-19” promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and financed by Nex-GenerationEU.
