Todi, new tourist activities in the historic center
The city’s restaurant offer expands and becomes further qualified
A breath of spring in the historic center of Todi where, around Easter, which traditionally marks the start of the actual tourist season for the city, three new restaurant businesses will open within a few hundred metres.
In the first case it concerns the new management of the Osteria della Valle, in the middle of Via Ciuffelli, whose change of ownership saw a restyling of the restaurant, which lasted just a couple of months, and a characterization of the menu inspired by the cuisine of the old trattorias tuderti, therefore respecting the best typical local cuisine.
The reopening of the doors will coincide with the Easter weekend.
An absolute novelty and therefore particularly awaited will be “Deli”, which overlooks the central square, between the municipal buildings and the Duomo: inauguration announced for immediately after Easter, with a new proposal, unique in Umbria, based on fish and a New York-style gastronomy, characterized by the originality and quality of the raw materials.
The third sign to be lit, right at the beginning of Via Ciuffelli, in front of the public gardens and one of the entrances to the Rocca park, will be that of Kòmos, a name which in ancient Greece indicated the festive tour that young people took in the city after a symposium. It will be a very particular food and lounge bar, aimed at favoring the use of local products for which the place wants to become a showcase and a business card at the entrance to the historic centre, at the point where the mechanized lift already arrives and where the new elevators will also arrive next summer. Opening scheduled for April 21st.

Furthermore, with the arrival of the summer, outdoor spaces will also increase.
The arrival of the external tables of Bar Garibaldi is expected in Piazza Garibaldi, which has successfully taken the place of the former Latteria for a few months now. Another positive note is the removal of the scaffolding from Palazzo Ciuffelli, with the return of all the external spaces to the Pane e Vino restaurant.
«We are registering great interest – adds Mayor Ruggiano – also for the spaces left free on the ground floor of the Palazzo dei Priori dal Monte dei Paschi, on whose future destination a discussion has started with Etab La Consolazione, owner of part of the prestigious property public”.
