CALTANISSETTA. The Volunteer Members of the Italian Red Cross – Caltanissetta ODV Committee met in the usual members’ meeting, chaired by Nicolò Piave at the headquarters in Via Xiboli, 345 where the association is currently based, to discuss and decide on the approval of the Final budget for 2023, the 2025 forecast budget, as well as the presentation of the 2024 Service Charter and the 2023 Social Budget;
After the reading of the seven fundamental principles of the association, a lively assembly opened which saw first of all the opening speech
On the same date, the Committee returned the account of its work to the Members with the presentation and subsequent approval of the annual final balance sheet drawn up in financial terms, in compliance with the provisions of art. 12.9 of the Statute. All acts were approved unanimously by those present. All income and expenditure have been reported in the document with separate indication of changes in assets.
The President and the councilor Marco Lacagnina present at the meeting were very satisfied for the great work carried out during the year 2023, with an increase in services and the number of members which has risen to 505 members within the Caltanissetta committee, which also includes the municipalities of Serradifalco, Milena, Resuttano, Santa Caterina Villarmosa, Sommatino, Bompensiere and Campofranco.
President Piave illustrated to the assembly the results achieved, the balance sheet certified by the legal auditor and auditor Dr. Alida Maria Marchese, produced by Dr. Alessandra Di Bartolo and the CRI collaborator Dr. Martina Saporito, all thanked by the president for the great work done to guarantee the members and for the transparency demonstrated. The president also thanked the entire board of directors for the great contribution provided, the technical delegates of the Area, the representatives of the activities and headquarters, the volunteers, the true beating heart of this association
The work of the volunteer Maria Beatrice Giambra, editor of the 2024 service charter and the 2023 Social Report, is worthy of merit. Great team work with the president and collaborators of the strategic objective of innovation, volunteering and training. We are a team that is working hard to support the needs of citizens, the work in the area of social inclusion is commendable with all the social services provided, social inclusion desk, social atelier, mobile unit for assistance to the vulnerable, school support, project breakfast, ready shopping and ready medicine, combating involuntary loneliness, food and clothing warehouse. The numbers present in the social budget speak of approximately 6000 subjects assisted in 2023 within the territory of the Caltanissetta committee, truly high numbers that demonstrate the presence in the territory. Also recorded were the interventions in excess of 118 which ended up being 164, the transport and healthcare assistance were 297, the live collaboration with AVIS of Caltanissetta in blood donation, the results of the emergency activities and of the Rescue with Special Means and Techniques flower all’ buttonhole of the committee. No less the activities of young people in schools with many PCTOs activated, first aid courses, courses for the use of the semi-automatic defibrillator and courses for workers. An incredible and highly appreciated work across the entire territorial area, positively evaluated by citizens and public administrations with whom we collaborate in close synergy on a daily basis.
At the end of the meeting, President Piave illustrated to the members the activities carried out over the last eight years with the positive results achieved and greeted the meeting as he will not be able to be a candidate in the next local elections on 19 May 2024 and will therefore give way to other members. On this occasion he thanked the outgoing Board of Directors for the great work done, all the delegates and area and project representatives who have followed one another in these years of intense and fruitful collaboration.
