PORTO RECANATI The municipal administration is working to draw up a rich program for the summer. The protagonists are the Beniamino Gigli Arena and the city squares. «We will propose numerous initiatives – explains the mayor of Porto Recanati, Andrea Michelini -. The aim is to make the city more and more alive, to bring tourists, to increase attendance and act as a driving force for all economic activities.”

As for the Arena Gigli, it will start on June 22nd with the event which will see Cevoli, Pizzocchi and Giacobazzi as protagonists: for the first time the three most representative comedians of Emilia Romagna together on stage. Giuseppe Giacobazzi and Paolo Cevoli, the two ambassadors of Romagna comedy, will stage a show made up of their strong points, interaction and moments of authentic improvisation, supported by the all-Emilian comedy of Duilio Pizzocchi. Space also for the big names in music.
On July 27th Piero Pelù will be on stage, the following day it will be Renga and Nek’s turn, on July 31st the Marchigiana Philharmonic Orchestra will be the protagonist conducted by maestro David Crescenzi, on August 2nd a concert by Cristiano De Andrè, on August 3rd there will be Alex Britti. But that is not all. Massimo Ranieri will perform on August 12th while Francesco De Gregori will take the stage on August 14th, two real flagships of the season. Comedian Angelo Duro will perform on August 10th; the concert of the group Le Orme on 17 August; on August 22nd “Queen at the opera”. The free musical events at the Borgo marinaro and in Piazzetta delle Erbe have been confirmed, together with all the events, for which the program is still being defined, in Piazza Brancondi and Largo Porto Giulio, which are also free.
Porto Recanati’s summer season program will begin around the middle of June and, weather permitting, events will also be offered in September and October. “But we organize initiatives all year round”, underlines the mayor. Yesterday Porto Recanati hosted the Conero Running, in which the Municipality collaborates with other entities. The city was full of visitors, with many tourists walking on the beach and along the seafront. At 4pm the “Heroes Bus” opened its doors for the happiness of the children.
