Ancona15 May 2024 – Last Sunday the Gls Dolphins Ancona were involved in two youth flag football bowls.
Let’s start with the under 13s who faced the Vespas 3 times in San Giorgio Ionico, obtaining two defeats and one victory: having lost the first 18 to 14 and won the second 24 to 19, the very young dolphins emerged defeated from the last match for 21 to 8. In small steps the project is moving forward to everyone’s satisfaction.
The under 17 team, however, emerged triumphant from the Reggio Emilia bowl, defeating the Formigine Honey Badgers 51 to 0 and the Bologna Doves 38 to 0.
And again in Reggio Emilia, on Sunday 19th, the women’s flag team of the Gls Dolphins Ancona will challenge the Ferrara Eagles twice and the Reggio Emilia Hogs once in the second bowl valid for the national specialty championship.
Mattia Gallina representative of the entire flag project was present in Reggio for the u17: «We are with a record of 4 wins and 2 losses. It went beautifully and I’m proud of these guys. Of everyone, from the most experienced to the recently arrived. We have shown that although our number of athletes is not high, this does not matter. The important thing is to put your heart, passion and above all the desire into it. And they have a lot of it. I also thank Riccardo Petrilli who always gave me a hand».
