Pontedera – Livorno returns to earth after the encouraging victory against San Donato Tavarnelle and, drawing against Cenaia at the Ettore Mannucci Stadium in Pontedera, sees the gap from first-place Pianese rise to 6 points.

Below we offer you the report cards of the meeting:

Facchetti. Cenaia’s goal comes from a goal by Davide Bartolini of rare beauty: he disengages well on the occasion of the only real scoring opportunity for the green-orange team. Rating: 6.

Schiaroli. Nothing particular to report, other than the usual avoidable warning which leads Facchetti to replace him before the situation worsens. Rating: 5.5.

(10′ st Carcani. We understand his state of mind as a player capable of going from being one of the best against Pianese to having come on for three games in a row, but the superficiality with which he went down on the pitch he is inexplicable for a player of his qualities. Rating: 5).

Tanasa. After the 4 goals in 6 games scored between January 21st and March 3rd, he seems to have been reabsorbed into total anonymity. Rating: 5.5.

Curcio. Deployed too late on the midfielders’ line, he went to shoot a free kick from the edge of the area at the end of the first half and was not guilty of any particular fault. Rating: 6.

Camara. He continues his period of involution without stopping: he lights up at times, but is never decisive. Rating: 5.5.

(21′ st Menga. Enters the field when tactical disorder reigns supreme and, within a few minutes, leads Caciagli and Bartolini to a yellow card, resulting in the expulsion of the former: he is the best of his team and the last to give up. Rating: 6.5).

Sabattini. We don’t want to think that he was still under the influence of the hangover following the goal scored against San Donato Tavarnelle: he should specialize in doing just one thing and doing it well. Rating: 4.5.

(10′ st Bellini. Remaining seated on the bench to make room for this Sabattini is a mistake attributable to Fossati, but the good Filippo da San Miniato does nothing to make the Ligurian coach change his mind. Rating: 5).

Lights. He has the merit of finding the goal that opens the hostilities and the mistake of not having a teammate capable of replacing him: it seems like the light of a star which, progressively losing intensity, leaves the rest of the team in darkness. Rating: 6.

Nardi. He tries without success the twist that could give something more to the amaranth maneuver, but without success. Rating: 5.

Goffredi. Rightly criticized after some less-than-brilliant performances, he tries to launch himself into the green-orange half of the pitch with sufficient continuity: he is the only one, among the amaranths seen on the pitch today, who seems to be growing from a performance point of view. Rating: 6.

Choirs. It seems like one of those fireworks that goes off immediately, but lasts a moment: his teammates look for him little and badly, but his reliability from the point of view of his athletic condition is limited to say the least. Rating: 4.5.

(14′ st Luis Henrique. A deep pass for Tenkorang and very little else: is the real Luis Henrique the player of the first round or the center forward who hasn’t scored since the home match against Ghiviborgo? Rating: 5).

Tenkorang. He is the best striker in the Amaranth advanced department and this in itself says it all: unlucky when he hit the crossbar at the start of the match, which could have led to Livorno’s lead with a few minutes to spare. Rating: 5.5.

(32′ st Frati. Enters too late to have an impact on the match. Without vote).

All. Fossati. Alone and unheard, the Livorno coach seems betrayed both by those players who had made the series of consecutive useful results possible that had colored the first remnant of 2024 (Camara, Nardi and Tanasa just to name a few) and by those players who, left on the bench too often, they lost the feeling with the continuity of performances (Carcani, Cori and Sabattini above all): Bellini’s sacrifice to make room for Sabattini and the decision not to consider Menga a second striker, bringing him in to replace a midfield lateral and confining him to that sector of the pitch, are difficult choices to interpret in the eyes of this writer. Rating: 5.
