TREVISO Treviso FBC 1993, on the occasion of the assembly of the “Treviso Siamo Noi” Consortium held on Wednesday evening, presented a five-year project to aim at doubling the youth sector, reaching numbers never before seen in Marca football and launching other programmatic agreements. It was also an opportunity to present the new board of the Treviso Football Club made up of president Francesco Saruggeri and vice presidents Alessandro Botter and Enrico De Bernard to the consortium members and sponsors. The president of the “Treviso Noi Noi” Consortium, Marco Pinzi then presented the new consortium board of directors made up of the vice-president Mauro Carraro and the councilors Alessandro Botter, Luca Callegher, Stefano Frezza, Giuseppe Milan and Luca Pinzi. The juiciest news is the acquisition of Villorba as emerges in the part of the press release that we quote here: «The “Consorzio Treviso Siamo” becomes the owner of other sports clubs. In particular, the objective of acquiring Villorba Calcio was announced. This acquisition would bring the Treviso FBC academy to 750 athletes and the promotion of women’s football with around one hundred members. Furthermore, it would mean a growth in the potential of training facilities. In recent days the “due diligence” has begun with the analysis of all the information relating to the reality to be acquired”.

VILLORBA WILL NOT SET DOWN

When asked on the subject, Settimo Pizzolato, historic president of Villorba for 18 years, underlines the fact that his club will continue to walk on its own two feet: «Treviso and Villorba will have two different FIGC freshmen, we will continue as Villorba is with the women’s team (Serie C), both with the men’s division (Promotion) and with our youth sector. The final objective is for Treviso to follow the professional part where we hope to return shortly while we continue with the amateur activity by expanding our club. We aim to build a great football reality together with the “Treviso Siamo Noi” Consortium where I will also become part of it. I have been talking to President Saruggeri, Carraro and Botter for months to work on this project and now we are finalizing the final details.” Also regarding the use of the facilities, the president of Villorba does not envisage particular collaborations for the moment: «We will continue to use our facilities in Lancenigo where we aim to make improvements while Treviso will continue to train in San Bartolomeo where they will build another field in synthetic”.

THE PRESIDENT BIANCOCELESTE

The president of Treviso Francesco Saruggeri clarifies the terms of this agreement: «We are in “due diligence” with Villorba and once this verification phase is finished, if everything goes as well as we think, the “Treviso Siamo Noi” Consortium will also become owner of Villorba as it already is in Treviso. So they will remain two distinct companies as they are now but there will be a synergy that will lead to improvements because as we know, unity is strength.” The number one of the club in via Foscolo then made a mini assessment since he became president: «I thank you very much for the trust and commitment that all the members of Treviso FBC are making for the effective growth of our club and we hope with it of the results of our teams. Mine is a full-fledged operational presence that starts from close financial and corporate management up to the development of all those paradigms to bring Treviso to being a modern, technologically advanced society inserted into the social and sporting heritage of the Treviso area.”
