New stages, over 500 players and a traveling “journey” across the island. There is less and less left until the start of the second edition of the Sicilia Padel Tour 2024. The amateur circuit of this increasingly growing sport will start on April 6th from Catania and will unfold in nine stages. One per province, a final Master’s level and an exceptional testimonial: Marco Biagianti.
The former captain of Catania and his love for padel
Since he “hung up his shoes”, the former Catania captain, now coach of the Under 19 team of the Rossazzurro club, has found a new great love in padel, which he has been practicing since 2017.
“A sport – explained Biagianti, who is now playing Serie D with Leo Padel – in some ways similar to football. Tactics, space occupation… You must always be concentrated. And then it gives you a lot of adrenaline. We footballers live on adrenaline and competitiveness. I found all this in padel”.

The numbers are important: more than 500 players involved in the circuit, with the best couples in the regional sports scene ready to battle it out to win the victory.
A journey over one hundred days long, which will end with the final Master scheduled for Saturday 13 July at Mangia’s Torre del Barone Resort in Sciacca.

The stages will be an opportunity to be together and have fun, the Master will be a real event to witness high level challenges. Thanks also to our logistical and organizational staff, to the communication and marketing department, for the operational support that has allowed the Sicilia Padel Tour to become an institution in the panorama of Sicilian and Italian amateur padel. Registrations open to all
Each stage will take place in a single day. Membership is open to all regional and national players. All amateurs and players who, on the date of the stage, have a fourth or fifth place ranking (under penalty of elimination of the couple) will be able to participate. There are two categories: male and female.
Winning march of the competition, the strategy outlined in synergy with the commercial director, Davide Valentino Gullotta, which allowed us to bring partners into the field.
“Padel has now entered the habits of many people – explained Gullotta –, many people play even more than three times a week, take lessons, participate in tournaments. The noble goal is that of physical and mental well-being, but as we know, no one minds a little competition. Our goal is to give amateurs the opportunity to compete in a prestigious event, without necessarily having to be professionals. We believe that Sicily can become a destination for sports tourists in a land that already has so much to say and tell. We want to add something more to the vocation of hospitality that distinguishes us and I am pleased that our partners have understood this by showing us full confidence in combining their brand with ours, just as we have taken particular care in choosing them. I am certain of the positive return that the event will bring to everyone: participants, visitors, sports clubs, partners, but above all to Sicily itself”.

The Sicilia Padel Tour will be officially presented to the press on Tuesday 2 April at 10am at the City Catania Sports Club (via Santa Sofia, 2B). Taking part in the conference will be, among others: Francesco Russo, director of the event; Davide Gullotta, commercial director; Alberto Giuffrida, sole director of the City Catania Sports Club and Marco Biagianti, testimonial of the event.

The prices:
All members will be given a Welcome Pack containing the official technical shirt and the Sicilia Padel Tour backpack.
The winners of the stages, in addition to obtaining direct qualification for the final Master, will receive other prizes offered by the technical sponsor and commercial partners of the event.
Each winner of the final Master of the Sicilia Padel Tour will win a weekend in Malaga with:
– 6 hours of lessons with pro coach
– final tournament against Spanish couples
– 3 nights in a seafront hotel with breakfast (double room)
– transfer from/to the airport and from/to the hotel-club
Each runner-up will win a 2-night stay for 2 people in an Mangia’s Sicilian resort of their choice.
