Holy Thursday, masses in Coena Domini in the churches of Bisceglie
Descriptive text here
This year too, the moments dedicated to Holy Week in the Catholic Church are renewed, the fulcrum of the week is the Holy Triduum where the moments of the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus are relived. The three days opener is Holy Thursday, which for this he year is March 28, the day on which the Masses in Coena Domini will be held in the Bisceglie parishes, a liturgy that retraces the last supper and the hours before the capture of Jesus Christ. During this particular mass we remember the institution of the Eucharist which took place during the Last Supper, during the Eucharistic celebration the rite of the washing of the feet lives to recall the moments before the Last Supper.

At the end of the mass in Coena Domini the altars will be stripped of their sacred vestments and the Blessed Sacrament will be placed in the altars of reposition, commonly called “sepulchres” in order to be visited and prayed. During the evening there will be a moment of community prayer: ‘holy hour.

BisceglieViva took care of collecting and bringing together all the timetables and activities carried out in the city.
