Landfill and political crisis in the majority, Aprilia Civica: “Mayor Principi continues to prefer silence” – Radio Studio 93
Descriptive text here

On the political crisis underway in the majority Principles raised on the landfill issue, the opposition intervenes again. Aprilia Civic underlines how much the mayor prefers the silence“a silence – says the opposition – which is becoming increasingly embarrassing”.

The note

“Statements by the councilor for urban planning Roberto Boi: What is the regional Brothers of Italy doing to protect Aprilia? Where is the famous government supply chain? The regional councilors Tiero and Sambucci, who in Aprilia also obtained votes and preferences to defend the territory from plants and landfills, what are they doing?”.

Fratelli d’Italia declarations: “Principles revoke the delegations of councilor Boi since his position and actions appear incompatible with the political project of Another Aprilia”.

Declarations of Principles: “The exchange that took place in the newspapers in the previous days is part of politics and the discussion of different positions”.

Statements by Environment Councilor Marchitti: “Let’s avoid alarmism”.

This is the spectacle offered in recent days by the Aprilian centre-right. A centre-right which, after the sailor’s promises of the electoral campaign, sees the approval for the landfill coming from its own government chain. A majority that balances responsibilities on the skin of the Aprilia territory. A quarrelsome majority without an authoritative guide which, after the poor performance in the provincial elections, finds itself increasingly isolated and divided.

Mayor Principi continues to prefer silence. A silence that becomes more and more embarrassing every day, peppered with politically useless incidental phrases which, given the utterances of his councillors, even his closest allies no longer believe.

The Environment Councilor, who after a life in the civic field today rediscovers himself as a champion of the centre-right parties, unlike his colleague Boi who indicated the Fratelli d’Italia party among those responsible, hides from the city that the Urban Planning sector of the Lazio Region gave a favorable opinion on the landfill. He continues like a broken record to attack the opposition hoping to divert citizens’ attention from important issues. Perhaps still stunned by his constant changes of uniform, he confuses the majority and the opposition. We remember that in the recent past Marchitti considered the new waste collection plants an opportunity for the territory, statements that were also harshly criticized by some of his current majority comrades.

An indecent spectacle a few days after the approval of the budget, which highlights a deep political fracture. When we presented a motion against the landfill in the City Council weeks ago, we did so because we understood the difficulties of the majority of Princes and the intentions of the centre-right. In addition to remembering the campaign to collect signatures against the landfill, we will organize a public conference inviting representatives of the centre-right supply chain to Aprilia. We want to hear from their voices their positions regarding the landfill.

Lastly, for the Aprilia series it is not just a reservoir of votes from which to draw and then disappear, we remind councilor Tiero, once again poorly informed on the Aprilia events, that we, as a civic coalition, stopped, without the centre-right chain, three landfill projects. With respect to the provision of Commissioner Illuminato Bonsignore, among other things, we presented an appeal to the TAR. On this ground we invite Tiero to bring the President of the Rocca Region to Aprilia to talk about waste.

Ours has always been a transparent, non-ideological position in defense of the territory. Others cannot say the same thing.
