Thanks to the many missions to Mars, it was possible to create a video showing real sounds and photos of the Red Planet

No planet other than Earth is studied so intensely like Mars. The observations of Red Planet they date back to ancient Egypt or over 4,000 years ago, when the movements of the planet in the sky were described. Today probes and rovers study Mars from all angles. The reason Mars appears reddish is due to the oxidation of iron in rocks, regolith, and dust. The latter is expelled into the atmosphere and causes it to appear the predominantly red planet. Interestingly, while Mars is about half the size of the Earth, its surface has almost the same area as the emerged lands of our planet. Its volcanoes, impact craters, crustal movements and dust storms have altered its landscape for many years, creating some of the topographical features most interesting in the solar system.

The moons

The fourth planet of the Solar System has two moons called Phobos and Deimos and it has no rings. However, within 50 million years, Phobos will crash into the planet or break up and form a ring around the planet. This will happen when Phobos reaches the Roche limit that is, the minimum distance from the center of a celestial body (Mars in this case) below which a second minor celestial body that orbits around it and which remains cohesive only thanks to its own gravitational force fragments due to the effect of tidal forces. Below is the video with images and sounds:

Mythology of the name

The planet was named Mars by the Romans because they identified it with theirs god of war due to its reddish color that resembled blood. The Egyptians called it “Desher“, which means “the red one”.
