Sport as inclusion, propose the diffusion of unified sport, collaboration between athletes with or without disabilities, organize events that aim to enhance autonomy for people with intellectual disabilities. These are just some of the intentions of the protocol signed this afternoon at Palazzo di Città by Area S05 and Special Olympics Italy. Precisely to make these objectives effective, from today until April 28th, an initiative by Special Olympics Italia Onlus Team Campania, called “Trofeo Antonello Di Cerbo”, dedicated to artistic and rhythmic gymnastics for Special Olympics athletes, will be held at the PalaDiCerbo in Salerno. The event, in memory of Antonello di Cerbo, first Regional Director of Special Olympics Team Campania, is organized by the Special Olympics Campania Team directed by Salvatore Taurino in synergy with the S05 Area of ​​Salerno and with the collaboration of the ASD Ginnastica Salerno and of the Municipality of Salerno – Department of Social and Youth Policies. The opening ceremony was held at the Maritime Station with the parade of all the participating teams and the procession with the Olympic torch carried by Special Olympics athletes, accompanied by the Olympic champion Salvatore Amitrano.
