On the occasion of Mother’s Day, the social cooperative “Fili d’erba” has stipulated a memorandum of understanding with the ASL of Salerno for a free screening event on Thursday 9 May 2024 from 9 to 13 at the social and aggregation center “Il Girasole” in via M. D’Azeglio 1, S. Eustachio district in Pastena.
The initiative, conceived on the occasion of Mother’s Day, aims to convey a message to women on the importance of prevention and care for individual well-being.
All interested people, not just those in the neighborhood, can call 331 1658756 to book for the free screening. It will be possible to carry out a breast examination with doctor Chiara Ragone, a mole examination with doctor Augusto De Pascale and a diabetes test by Humanitas. It will also be possible to use the services of the “Punto I Ascolto e Ti Informo” of the Salerno Local Health Authority.
In the case of a breast examination, if necessary, an ultrasound can also be carried out thanks to the machinery made available by Humanitas. The event, organized in collaboration with the ASL and the Salerno Lions, offers the possibility of carrying out medical visits which usually require a certain waiting time despite being important for women’s health.
Speakers will include the councilor for social and youth policies of the municipality of Salerno, Paola De Roberto, the UOSD manager Rosa Zampetti, the president of Humanitas, Roberto Schiavone, the president of the Lions Club Branch Salerno Forte la Carnale, Lorenzo Galliano and the president of ” Blades of grass”, Ciro Plaitano. “Il Girasole” is managed by the “Fili d’erba” cooperative in agreement with the Municipality of Salerno, Department of Social Policies.
