The red and white quartet lost the title fight against Padova but with the second place he secured promotion to the top division (A1) in which there are also military bodies that “supply” the national team with athletes.

After 10 years of activitythe one obtained in Piacenza is the first promotion in the top category for the company managed by master Antonio Pagano moreover with one very young training. Guarnaccia, the most experienced, is 24 years old, Orlandi has not yet turned 19 while Barlocci is from 2007 and Benigni from 2008.
In Piacenza the Varese Scherma Club also competed with the saber team female who got the seventh place finish in A2 with Elena Silvia Minonzio, Giulia Fulli and Rebecca Nebuloni.

If Varese calls, Busto Arsizio responds with the most historic society, Pro Patria et Libertate. In the Serie A2 women’s foil championship the Bustocca team won won the title by beating Fides Livorno in the final. A great result achieved by the quartet formed by Marta Cammilletti, Elisa Colombo, Giulia Malvezzi and Emmie Celeste Nayl.

A result that was not so predictable on the eve given that the veteran Cammilletti was struggling with a elbow problem while the French Nayl she came back specially from Washington where he had played the World Cup. And Malvezzi is also returning after cruciate surgery. Problems that they had no influence on the attacks and which allowed Pro Patria – directed by maestro Marco Malvezzi – to regain the top national league.
