CHIETI. All eyes are on the Angelini stadium today, not only for a result that could determine the winner of Serie D group F, but also for public order. 500 Campobasso fans arrive in Chieti who, in the event of victory and failure of L’Aquila in Termoli, will celebrate their promotion to Serie C (see article on page 37). For this reason, a security service appropriate to the case has been arranged and a series of measures have been put in place regarding circulation in the stadium area, to allow the safe inflow and outflow of the approximately two thousand total spectators expected.
The match, the last home match of the regular season for the Neroverdi – who aspire to play in the play-offs – begins at 3pm, but there will be a ban on vehicular transit in Viale Abruzzo, in the stretch between the roundabout at the confluence with Via Tirino and via Madonna della Vittoria up to the intersection with via Feltrino, starting from 1pm and until 6pm, or in any case until the needs no longer exist, with the exception of the vehicles of visiting fans, who will have to access the car park dedicated to them, vehicles of civil and military authorities and sports observers.
Also from 1pm to 6pm, the exit towards Viale Abruzzo will be closed at the roundabout at the confluence with Via Tirino and Via Madonna della Vittoria; obligation to turn left towards Via Feltrino for vehicles coming from Viale Abruzzo on the Piazzale Marconi side; obligation to turn right towards piazzale Marconi, for vehicles exiting via Feltrino; obligation to turn right towards Piazzale Marconi for vehicles exiting via Capestrano; prohibited direction in via Amiterno, at the intersection with via Feltrino; obligation to turn left towards piazzale Marconi for vehicles exiting via Zittola; obligation to turn left towards via Aterno for the vehicles of visiting fans exiting the dedicated parking area.
Beyond the stakes, there is bad blood between the two fans, so much so that in the past the matches between Chieti and Campobasso have caused some problems regarding public order.(cr.ch.)
