Like every day, today too, Thursday 28 March 2024, we will take stock of what the earthquakes main ones that occurred in Italy and in the rest of the world. INGV, the national institute of geophysics and volcanology, reports through its portal a telluric movement 5 kilometers north of Tramonti di Sopra, in the province of Pordenone.
It was an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.7 degrees on the Richter scale, located by the INGV-Roma Seismic Hall at 3.36 am, therefore during the night between Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 March 2024. Its geographical coordinates were 46.3520 degrees of latitude, 12.8060 of longitude, and a depth of 11 kilometers below sea level. The municipalities of Socchieve, Preone, Ampezzo, Tramonti di Sotto and Enemonzo were identified in the area, while the city closest to the earthquake was found to be Pordenone46 kilometers away from the epicentre, with Udine at the same distance and Treviso further away at 88.
EARTHQUAKE TODAY FOGGIA, THE DETAILS INGV
The INGV reported another today earthquakethis time 10 kilometers north of Cerignola, in the province of Foggia, with a magnitude of 2.0 degrees on the Richter scale. The event also occurred last night, at 1.52 am, and as reported by the INGV-Rome Seismic Room, its geographical coordinates were 41.3490 degrees of latitude, 15.8720 of longitude and a depth of 8 kilometers below sea level.
The municipalities of Stornara, Orta Nova, Zapponeta, Carapelle and Stornarella have been identified in the area, all towns in Foggia. Cerignola10 kilometers away, was the city closest to the earthquake, with Foggia further away at 30 km, then Manfredonia at 32 and Barletta at 34. All the earthquakes that occurred today and which we have reported on this page , they caused no damage to things or communication routes, much less to the injured and/or victims.
