The Democratic Party in Turin seems to be a party that has not yet passed the congress between Elly Schlein and Stefano Bonaccini, not even after having identified an agreement on the candidacy of Gianna Pentenero, Stefano Lo Russo’s councillor, as Alberto Cirio’s challenger. Yesterday the tug-of-war was between the leaders of the provincial list, with the reformist area (which has the majority of local leaders) indicating the outgoing regional group leader Raffaele Gallo, and then proceeding with the other candidates alternating by gender and in alphabetical order , while that of the national secretary wanted to support him with Nadia Conticelli, now leader of the dem group at Palazzo Civico. On Tuesday, however, the clash was over the exclusion from the race for re-election in the Region of Professor Mauro Salizzoni, a luminary surgeon in the field of transplants who five years ago had obtained the absolute record of 18 thousand preferences. His position was defended by the left of the party, who did not hide their disappointment at the expulsion.
