Is called Arnoboat and it is the mini cruise on the Arno that is inspired by the Parisian model. Not a new experience for Florencewhich is being proposed again this year. The vehicle is always the electric boat that will sail the waters from Wednesday 1 May, from the mooring point in Via Lungarno Diaz (height from Piazza Mentana).
The idea comes from the Florentine Daniela Ghirelli who, together with her partner Gianni Margheriti, brought a bit of French river tradition to Tuscany.
Confirmed on route of the mini-cruise: from the pier, Arnoboat will travel the stretch that goes from Ponte alle Grazie passing right under Ponte Vecchio, Ponte Santa Trinita and Ponte alla Carraia to then turn and return by retracing the route back to the mooring point.
The tour will be accompanied by an in-depth study, in Italian and English, on the history, anecdotes and traditions of the city. The boat, equipped with two electric motors, is self-sufficient (powered by photovoltaic panels).
The 2024 Arnoboat season runs from Wednesday 1 May to Monday 30 September. For information and reservations: www.arnoboat.com.
