Cirk a thousand electronic products and various costume jewellery ready for sale but lacking compliance and safety requirements they were seized by the financial police of Imola, in a commercial business selling various items managed by a Chinese national.
In particular, the activity of prevention and repression of violations «prevented the sale of products lacking minimum information content and all other indications relating to the composition and the possible presence of substances harmful to health provided for by European and national legislation”. According to Fiamme Gialle estimates, the sale of unsafe products would have generated “around 4,500 euros in profits”.
The anomalies found, including the absence of the CE marking, triggered the administrative seizure and reporting of the business owner to the Chamber of Commerce of Bologna for violations of the Consumer Code, for which an administrative fine ranging from a minimum of 516 to a maximum of 25,823 euros is foreseen.
