Trip to Puglia ends up in hospital for 70 Sicilian students and teachers: poisoned by the chicken they ate

A week of fun turned into a nightmare for a group of students Milazzo, in the province of Messina, on a trip to Puglia. About 170 young people from the i“Ettore Majorana” technological institute which were located between the locations of Fasano And Alberobello have suffered food poisoning probably caused by the ingestion of spoiled food. This was reported by La Gazzetta del Sud.

The problems began yesterday, Wednesday 27 March, when the first male and female students began to feel ill – especially severe abdominal pain, vomiting and stomach ache. But as the hours passed, other kids and teachers also complained disorderssuch as to require the118 intervention.

In the end there were around seventy people who were intoxicated, some of whom were also forced to be admitted to hospitals in the area. Others required IVs to help them detox. In any case, only thanks to the administration of specific medicines, following the intervention of the doctors in the accommodation facility, they began to feel better.

The Messina school has already informed you of the incident police and now it will be the turn of the group of Nas Carabinieri investigate to evaluate the liability eventuality of the facility that served food to students and teachers. According to what emerged, the intoxication was caused by chicken served on the menu.
