A large representation of the Kiwanis club of Modica led by the president Marina Zingale, present the Lieutenant Governor of the Division 3 South East Sicily, Giovanni Occhipinti, the president of the Key Club, Samuel Macaluso, the vice-president, Giuseppina Trovato and the members Marco Sammito and Santino Mazza , participated this morning in the gastronomic meeting on an interreligious basis, on the occasion of the Easter menu, held at the “Principi Grimaldi” Hotel Institute.
The food prepared by the chefs, with the assistance of the students, is different and very distinctive, arranged at four tables for as many religions which are expressions of the territory and the city’s culture.
The table of Orthodox, Buddhist, Catholic and Islamic dishes gave full evidence of ancient cultures and recipes, each characterized by its own ingredients.
The event, which is the final moment of a series of meetings, was promoted by the municipal administration, councilor Chiara Facello, in collaboration with the school director Bartolomeo Saitta, of the teaching staff, led by the prof. Giovanni Roccasalva who illustrated all the dishes on the tables.
The tasting closed the event at which the councilor for social and educational policies and inclusion, Chiara Facello, the councilor Delia Vindigni, the president of the city council, Cristina Minardo, the club services gave their testimony of the city, the representatives of the intercultural world who have been operating in the city for some time, the managers, the teaching staff and the students of the Institute.
A very unifying experience in terms of shared values starting from that diversity of cultures and languages which are the richness of the human relationship which however has a common communicator in the indispensability and search for peace.
