An earthquake of Richter magnitude Ml 4.5 it was located by the National Seismic Network at 10.19pm of the March 27, 2024 in the province of Udineat a depth of 10 km.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located approximately 5 km southwest of the municipality of He simpered (UD)about 28 miles (46 km) north of Pordenone and 47 km northwest of Udine. Among the cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants closest to the epicenter, the site ofNational Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology also reports Treviso over 80 km away.
The area affected by the earthquake, explains the institute, is characterized by very high seismic hazardas demonstrated by the seismic hazard map of the national territory (MPS04) and by the strong earthquakes that have occurred in the past.
At the moment there have been no calls for help or reports of damage to the fire brigade operations rooms.
