Corato, yet another car fire in the city, the 14th in 2024

Yet another car fire during the night in Corato, this time in via Volturno. The flames started from the front of a Suzuki and then spread to a Fiat Punto parked a little further on. The firefighters of the Corato detachment and the Carabinieri were on site but the fire also damaged the door close to the cars and the smoke caused problems for an elderly man who was promptly rescued. However, last evening’s fire was the latest in a long series of car fires in the city of Corato which have occurred in recent months. On the night of April 24th, a few meters from Via Castel del Monte, two vehicles were destroyed by flames, another case was that in the Belvedere district on April 17th, on that occasion the small car destroyed was the tenth since the beginning of 2024. Basti to think that in the month of March alone there were three cars set on fire in various parts of the city. A situation that keeps the citizens of Corato on alert, a phenomenon that is spreading like wildfire.
