Forlì, 9 May 2024 – A wind Of new air blow in Old Town: recently inaugurated in Corso della Repubblica, at number 64, the ‘Jumanji ice cream shop‘, which took the place of the historic Bar dei Cavalieri, a very popular business but which had recently changed management several times. The new commercial adventure was undertaken by four young people from Forlì: the two partners Giacomo and Luca and the two employees Victor and Elena.

Course of the Republic it is experiencing a complex and delicate moment also due to the presence of numerous construction sites which, according to some traders, would discourage the normal flow of customers. Furthermore, several businesses have closed their doors in the historic center in recent years, but this has not discouraged the new owners of ‘Jumanji’, who have chosen a crucial point of the course, also linked to the presence of the University Campus.

“We have always worked in the world of ice cream making, now – explains Giacomo – we wanted to start our own business. An activity like ours was missing in Corso della Repubblica, we hope it can contribute to livening up the whole centre. The choice of the location is not random, because we think it is an excellent area, close to the campus and an important crossing point towards Piazza Saffi”. Customer satisfaction was already evident from the great success of the inauguration on 27 April, in which it was For the first three hours the opportunity was given to taste a stuffed cone for free: “We didn’t expect so many people, – explain the two partners – the city certainly reacted in a positive way. We have done and will do a lot of advertising on social media, this is one of the factors that in my opinion led to this first small success.”

The link with the territory led the four boys to choose the Babbi company, historic food producer, as supplier of raw materials. Many natural and fruity flavours, around ten lactose-free and others without added sugar. In particular they stand out the innovative ‘Sinner’ flavorlinked to the winning Italian tennis player, with carrots and amaretto, and the ‘Jumanji’ with pureed banana, caramel, salt crystals and walnuts.

We chose to source from Babbi because they are from Romagna like us and are known throughout Italy. From them – concludes Luca – we purchase the raw materials but all the processing is carried out in the shop. We focus a lot on the local, our dictates are quality service and products and always a smile to the customer”.
