GROSSETO – The assembly of the members of the Grosseto Slowfood convivium met this week to elect the new trustee, now president, and the members of the board of directors.

The outgoing trustee, Giuseppe Moriscohanded over the baton to Luca Papalini following the unanimous vote of the members present. The meeting continued with the appointment of the members of the new board of directors Alberto Bastianivice president, Alessandra Tonini treasurer, Giuska Ursini secretary, Tommaso Giordana communication between producers and the food community, Marco Bisdomini event organization, Cristina Neri communication and press.

After the approval of the 2023 final budget and the illustration of the activities carried out by the consortium, the members’ assembly approved a series of promotional activities and events whose editions have continued for several years such as the selection of extra virgin olive oils for the drive slowly; the participation of the community of Pugnitello a mareMMa the nature of wine in Alberese and MassaGustorum; the participation of the Management Committee in the tasting of the dishes created for the Paganico corn festival.

All the members enthusiastically welcomed the proposal of the convivium’s collaboration in the annual wine event of the village in Castiglione della Pescaia, which Luca Papalini has been involved in for some time.

The Convivium has also expressed its intention to re-propose taste and sustainability education meetings in schools in the province.

At the end of the meeting the members present toasted and greeted the new “leaders” with the wish for good work in the name of continuity of previous work.
