Not just football. The Selis Tournament hosted a special team of children who had recovered from pediatric tumors.

It is called ‘100 for 100 Ugi Torino’ and it is the team of the ‘Regina Margherita Children’s Hospital, of Ugi and of Torino Fc, in which the protagonists are the boys and girls in the final phase of their therapy or recovered from pediatric tumors.
They arrived in Sardinia thanks to the friendship between Enea Selis and Silvano Benedetti, head of the Turin youth sector for many years, and took part in the event with a special match on the Budoni pitch against the local team.
The project aims to be a hymn to life to be conveyed through football. The children of the pediatric oncohematology department played together for the first time in September 2018 and since then friendships have been born that have had enormous benefits on their progress. Given the results obtained, the managers of the pediatric oncohematology department, together with UGI and Torino FC, decided to give legs to this initiative by creating the 100% Ugi Torino team.
The Granata club has made itself available with Emiliano Moretti and Alberto Barile, providing two professionals, Marco Morra and Silvano Benedetti who have given legs to the project which also sees Corrado Buonagrazia, current head of Torino’s basic activities, involved.
Smiling faces, hugs, a lot of emotion on the field for an initiative that aims to be a message of optimism but also of hope for those who fight these life battles.
