Distributed in all Italian Dioceses

This morning, during a meeting organized by the chaplain of the State Police Don Gianni Giordano at the Parish of Santo Stefano da Nicea in Archi, the Vicar of the Quaestor of Reggio Calabria, Dr. Angelo Morabito, handed over to the Metropolitan Archbishop of Diocese of Reggio Calabria-Bova, SE Mons. Fortunato Morrone, the oil obtained from the “Garden of Memory” of Capaci (PA). In the place where the explosion occurred on May 23rd, in which judge Giovanni Falcone, his wife Francesca Morvillo, also a magistrate, and the police escorts Vito Schifani, Rocco Dicillo and Antonio Montinaro lost their lives, today stands a garden looked after by ‘Quarto Savona 15’ Association, founded by the widow of the escort leader Antonio Montinaro, where there are several olive trees, each dedicated to a mafia victim. The oil, distributed again this year in all Italian dioceses, will be consecrated during the Easter liturgies and will be used to administer the sacraments throughout the liturgical year. Also in the Dioceses of Locri Gerace and Oppido Mamertina-Palmi, the oil from the “Garden of Memory” was delivered into the hands of the respective ecclesiastical representatives, Mons. Francesco Oliva and Mons. Giuseppe Alberti, by the Directors of the PS Commissariats of Siderno and Palms.
