Incomes, the best growth in Teramo – Teramo

TERAMO. The Irpef incomes of people from Teramo are growing, more than those of residents of the other capitals of Abruzzo. This is what emerges from the report of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) which released the data relating to the Irpef paid in 2023 on the income produced in 2022. The information from the ministry was disclosed by the municipal councilor of Teramo Luca Malavolta (Together We Can): «These data, divided by municipality, show the level of salaries and wages of natural persons and have always represented an excellent approximation of the income produced by the community, better known as GDP. Well, in 2022 the per capita Irpef wealth produced in Teramo grew by 7.4%, the best figure in Abruzzo. Once past Chieti, it is quickly converging towards Pescara”, explains the councilor. Teramo is the capital of Abruzzo with the highest growth rate in the last five years, particularly in the last two years. «In the last five years the lively dynamics of the Teramo economy has allowed a convergence towards the levels of L’Aquila, the richest capital in Abruzzo, at a faster pace than the other realities of the region: 3.50% for Teramo against lower values 2% for Chieti and Pescara. All the data, however aggregated, attest to a growth in wealth produced by individuals for Teramo that is superior to other capitals” says Malavolta, “all this in contrast with the constant and easy narrative of the “economic and social decline” of Teramo, non-existent and denied once again not from opinions but from irrefutable facts certified by the Mef”.
The councilor does not limit himself to the economic reading of the data, also giving a policy that refers to the actions of the city government: «By acknowledging the merit of the results to the economic operators who produced them, it is noted that this administration has contributed and actively contributes to growth economy of the territory through the municipal budget with payments that went from 65 to over 80 million euros in 2023, and the activities implemented to stimulate the growth of the city’s entrepreneurial fabric”, concludes Malavolta underlining that the Municipality’s contribution lies in the increase «of the expenditure of approximately 16 million between 2021 and 2023 which represents a contribution to that growth equal to more or less one tenth. Even the unchanged tax pressure, Tari and Imu, contributes positively”.
