The municipal administration participated, with the deputy mayor Paolo Brunetti, in the final day of the Civitas 2023/2024 project which, this year, focused on issues related to the Constitution. An event, “A year with the Constitution”, supported by the Metropolitan City of Reggio, which took place between the Court of Appeal and Piazza Castello, animated by students from the lower and higher schools of the Reggio district and by the associations that in recent months they worked with enthusiasm for the presentation of the final papers.

A great party for everyone, which has been renewed for over a decade, a final moment to exalt our Constitution, the organizers clarified, first and foremost, Luciano Gerardis, former President of the Court of Appeal, together with the organization of the equality councilor of the Metropolitan City Paola Carbone, with the intervention of the President of the Court of Appeal Olga Tarzia.

It was highlighted, as one of the founding fathers, Piero Calamandrei, argued that the Constitution is not a piece of paper, but is alive and must be lived in everyday life. For this reason, the best way to study the Constitution was to have each of the project participants experience it firsthand.

The deputy mayor recalled that the Constitution is a testament left to us by many men who fought and lost their lives for freedom and to have a free country and the rights we have today. The Administrator then thanked the students for their active presence, engaged in the projects that had articles of the Constitution as their themes, and then the teaching staff who supported them and who have a fundamental role in the education of young people.
