As for the completion of the urbanization works of the area plans, Mallamo confirms that their implementation “is continuing according to the planned programs through assignment to companies selected with a specific framework agreement”.

On the Cisterna-Valmontone, the so-called “bypass”, he instead stated “we have already carried out expropriations in the municipalities of Aprilia and Cisterna and we will continue quickly because the public utility expires on 3 August 2024”.

Yet the president of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca announced in February that for the “Bretella” “We have concluded the expropriation phase”. He said this during the Rome REgeneration Forum, organized at the Confindustria Tecnica auditorium in Rome.

Finally, for Roma-Latina, «the commissionership started later, we are in the planning phase», concludes Mallamo.

The Cisterna-Valmontone, also called “Bretella”, is the work that has been discussed for decades, together with the Rome-Latina motorway. The work would allow a rapid connection between the 148 Pontina, in a section under the municipality of Aprilia, and the entire industrial territory of the Agro Pontino with the A1 motorway, near the Valmontone toll booth.
