Cesena, an applause-worthy theater project for the Righi High School

It’s over the exchange between the Righi scientific high school in Cesena and the equivalent Paleocapa high school in Rovigo, leader of a parallel theater project. The girls and boys from Cesena had already been away for two days in the Polesine area, where they had the opportunity to preview their work this year, #Antigone, in front of an audience of their peers in the TeatroStudio spaces. In recent days, the group that brought The Boys’ Inferno to the stage arrived from Veneto as guests of the families of Cesena high school students.

At the Bogart Theatre, in front of Righi’s students and their director, we witnessed a very powerful representation of two cantos, the first and fifth, of the Divine Comedy. The response from the public was excellent: the students were captivated the entire time by a show that gave voice and above all substance to Dante’s words.

Under directed by Massimo Munaro, founder of the Teatro del Lemming, a historic research theater active on a national and international level, the 19 members of the Polesine group maintained a very high level of involvement with a presence that made them all protagonists. All always present on stage, the young people created a tension that made them be a “single body” regardless of the lines recited. In about two weeks, on 3 and 4 June, the Righi theater group will have the opportunity to bring its #Antigone, the result of the activity of this third year of experience, to the Bonci Theatre.
