The Carabinieri of the Soverato Company, with the support of personnel from the respective municipal technical offices, carried out an extraordinary service of control of the construction sites, ascertaining multiple violations

Overall, more than ten checks were carried out on as many construction sites in the municipalities of Badolato, Sant’Andrea Apostolo dello Ionio, Santa Caterina dello Ionio, Cardinale and Torre di Ruggiero.

On a construction site, the Carabinieri ascertained the construction of some masonry structures, including a garage and a warehouse, without the building permit having been requested.

During another inspection, the construction of two masonry buildings for residential purposes was ascertained, also in this case without authorization.

During another inspection, the illegal presence of a concrete staircase, absent in the original project, was verified.

Following access to another construction site, the demolition/excavation and construction of a reinforced concrete retaining wall approximately 30 meters long by 2.50 meters high were revealed, all in the total absence of the required authorizations.

Finally, again for housing purposes, it was ascertained in two separate construction sites: in one the construction of two rooms in masonry and iron; in the other the construction of illegal brick-cement works, totally illegal.

The qualifications, governed by Title II of Presidential Decree 380/2001 (Consolidated Law on Construction), represent the authorizations necessary to carry out construction, modification or maintenance work on a building or part of it without prejudice, when necessary, also the preventive evaluation of the impact on the landscape of the building interventions deemed suitable to lead to modifications.
