The music event which is now a fixed summer event is back on TV. The first episode of Tim Summer Hits 2024in the evening of Friday, June 28 he began on Rai Uno with almost three hours of show and songs that compete for the title of summer hit of the year. All led by the new pair of presenters, composed of the “hostess” Andrea Delogu which, in this new edition, is joined by Charles Conti. Let’s discover the best and least engaging moments of an evening in which the former far outweigh the latter.
Tim Summer Hits 2024, the tops of the first evening
Among the tops of the evening we certainly put the new pair of conductors, definitely close-knit and promoted. If Andrea Delogu, a veteran of the event, now truly feels at home in managing this event, Carlo Conti has inserted himself with his grace and experience into an already well-established machine.
Moving on to the artists, we cannot fail to mention Annalisa and Tananai who with their duet, literally, set the audience alight, both the one in Piazza del Popolo and the one following the evening on TV, and commenting in real time on social media on the performances of the various artists. The song “Solo storie brevi” is accompanied by a performance full of glances, winks and complicity by two singers who know very well how to hold the stage and in fact fill up with positive comments and appreciation from the social audience.
Another artist who literally turned the square upside down is Angelina Mango. This girl continues to confirm herself as a true stage animal, capable of accompanying vocal performances with a level of staging that is always very high and engaging. She starts off great with the new song Melodrama, but when she sings boredom it is, obviously, a true apotheosis.
A super top also deserves it Mahmood and for a particular reason. Naturally the singer is one of the most anticipated artists on stage and he debuts singing his Ra-ta-tabut the best part goes to what happens after the performance. Carlo Conti points out to Mahmood the many signs dedicated to him by the audience in Piazza del Popolo, like the one that says “Sforni solo hit!”. But then, among the others, a message from a group of fans appears that reads: “12 hours straight under the sun. Just for you!”. The singer greets the boys, thanks them and then very politely informs them that that long wait went well. “Oh, but thank you, really. But everything okay? Are you okay? Do you have water? Please always stay hydrated in this heat.” A thought for the health of fans who often make sacrifices to follow their favorite artists, which is not so frequent, so a “Promoted!” deserves it entirely.
But Mahmood is also the protagonist of a moment that is, as Andrea Delogu defines it, “iconic”. The singer’s look is, as usual, simply amazing: a large patterned shirt in shades of blue and light blue, open to a white tank top and a long denim skirt-pants. After having made the square go wild with Gold suitMahmood has fun, at the request of Charles Contiin an improvised exchange of clothes, which sees him exit the stage wearing the serious jacket of the host, who in turn gave him stolen, very satisfied, the beautiful shirt.
Another moment of great involvement and fun for the public in the square and for those who followed him in front of the TV was the set of The Kolorsgreat dominators of last year’s summer charts with the super hit Italo Disco. They also unleash the audience, and at the end of the performance the frontman, Stash Involves Delogu and Conti in Creating a Living Meme with their three protagonists, putting them in a funny pose and sure that, being “one of the most meme-able singers in the world”, the shot will certainly soon become an object in the expert hands of “meme-ers” from all over the country.
Among the beautiful things about this edition of Tim Summer Hits there is also the possibility of seeing not only young and brilliant artists but also truly great names who have made the history of Italian music. In this first evening on Rai Uno, the public was able to enjoy the exciting start of the evening entrusted to Antonello Venditti and its iconic Night before examsa set of Gianna Nannini with old and new hits from the great rocker and another, with unforgettable songs, from Pooh. There are those who sang them at the top of their lungs in front of the TV and those who are lying.
Flop
But on such an interesting and fun evening, is there something that went wrong?
We can say that the number of artists who have to perform is so high that some performances are just hit and run. And we refer to that of Arisaby Ermal Meta, but in particular to that of Elodieone of the queens of contemporary Italian music and certainly one of the most awaited artists who, after singing her single in promotion Black Nirvana, she practically ran away, while other artists like her who were particularly awaited, such as Annalisa, Mahmood, Angelina and many others, gave the public at least a couple of songs. The same thing, probably, the fans also expected from her who is usually very generous and precisely for this reason her “escape” was a bit noticeable.
