Summit in the Prefecture in Rimini, on Tuesday, in view of the Pink Night 2024 which as per tradition on 6 and 7 July will attract tens of thousands of people to the Riviera. At the center of the meeting was planning, between all provincial security actors, public services and institutions, to guarantee the safety and public order of the event. The Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, convened by the Prefect Rosa Maria Padovano, was attended by the Police Commissioner, representatives of the Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, Port Authority and Fire Brigade, of the specialties of the law enforcement agencies (Police Road, Railway, ROAN, Border Police), the Mayor of Rimini, of Bellaria-Igea Marina, the representatives of the Municipalities of Cattolica, Misano Adriatico and Riccione, of the 118 Service, of ANAS and of Società Autostrade.
For an orderly management of nightlife and the safeguard of urban cleanliness and decorum, it was agreed together with the municipal administrations to renew the main measures adopted in previous years, such as the ordinances prohibiting the serving of drinks in glass containers, the strengthening of waste collection activities, night-time lighting of beaches and the identification of a uniform time for the conclusion of musical and dance activities, in order to avoid the transit of excessive flows of public from one municipal area to another.
Furthermore, an overall strengthening of the safety devices at provincial level and an intensification of controls will be arranged, also thanks to the use of the reinforcement units of the Police Force arriving for the summer season. Particular attention, from this point of view, will be paid to the fight against predatory phenomena, fights, drunk driving and controls on large influxes of public which will also affect the railway infrastructures. In the next few days, specific technical tables will carry out a detailed examination of each individual event scheduled.
