Dedelate, who is the climbing influencer who ‘climbed’ San Siro

From the first videos onwards it has always been a challenge to climb, in every sense. To dare more and more, for a handful of likes or maybe something else, who knows. He began his career as a “social climber” by taking photos from an abandoned 110 meter high chimney in Milan. Then he had been to the former service center of Bergamo (the now demolished eco-monster) where he is seen performing some tricks on a skateboard, throwing objects and hanging dangerously in the air, attracting the attention of the vigilantes. From those photos and videos, posted on Instagram on March 21, 2023, the 17-year-old climber known by the nickname Dedelate he got into all sorts of trouble, at his own risk.

The latest, crazy exploits reported by the newspapers show him on the Milan Cathedral on May 21st, in front of the structure that supports the Madonnina 100 meters above the ground with his shirt and middle finger raised. On June 24, however, they filmed him running on the roofs of San Siro during the concert of the trapper Sfera Ebbasta (“I can’t believe I was running away from 80 cops”, he commented on social media). Messages that build around him an image more of a provocateur than a restless ‘urban climber’.

Despite a complaint for building invasion and damage, Dedelate continues to carry out the same actions. The young man does not seem to know fear and continues undaunted in his dangerous exploits, which not only put his safety at risk, but also raise concerns about the risky emulation effect. The hope is that the many followers simply limit themselves to watching.
