We know him as The Count, but Raffaello Tonon is neither noble nor graduated. The truth about his real qualification.

He took part in The farm, folkloristic reality show which did not last more than 4 editions, the second of which was won by him, Raffaello Tonon.

We saw it at Big Brother, in many teleshopping and various other programs. But all this, as he himself knows, would not have been possible without the help of Maurizio Costanzo.

He admitted it some time ago to Today is another day: “I owe everything to Maurizio Costanzo, who one day in March 2004 – after reading some of my interviews – invited me to the episode nobles versus forced”.

And he reiterated it to Courier, where he explored the dynamics of that meeting: “My strong point was the naturalness with which I related to Costanzo, who for me could have been a butcher or a greengrocer. The meaning of what I’m saying is this. I wasn’t subjected to subjugation simply because I didn’t believe I had to profit from my relationship with him. From that moment on, television changed my whole life.”

Raffaello Tonon isn’t actually a graduate

We have always seen him as a cultured, calm and polite character. And indeed Raffaello Tonon he has the manners of a nobleman, as well as a way of dressing and a decidedly dandy appearance.

Famous above all thanks to reality shows but, he confesses, he wouldn’t do them again today. Even if he would do them again going back. Today, she claims, she has no problems making ends meet. And then he would have nothing to tell because in the last years of his life nothing special happened. Apart from the move to Emilia Romagna.

The new adventure

Raffaello Tonon today he lives in Cattolica and is an innkeeper in some friends’ restaurant. “Why did I start working here? I was bored, maybe I only worked a few days a week” always confess to Courier. In fact, his presence on TV has gradually diminished but he has no regrets. He made his choices and, he says, he paid for some of them himself. I wonder if it also refers to the missed degree.

Why Tonon he was studying law and wanted to be a divorce lawyer. He had also already taken 11 exams, but “Then I gave up. Exactly, the television arrived and I jumped right in. Also because at the time it was beautiful, the work was really good.” A real shame, not having continued studying. But he seems to have no regrets, and that’s what’s important.
