We have seen how the Fallout TV series openly references Bethesda video games, and it couldn’t be otherwise. But in addition to direct quotes there are also a series of easter eggs and hidden references: here are 5 that you probably missed!
The Fallout phone number
In the first episode of Fallout, Cooper records a commercial for Vault-Tec and in the meantime dials the phone number 213-25-VAULT (or 213-258-2858).Obviously there are those who have tried to call this number… the result? On the other end of the phone 20 seconds of heartbreaking screams are heardprobably related to the Vault 4 mystery.
Please Stand By
Also in the first episode, a projector in a house is hit and knocked out, only to return to broadcasting shortly after. And what does it convey? The famous Fallout monoscope with the words Please Stand By, which became famous as the loading screen of Fallout 3 and Fallout 4.
Fallout music
The Fallout soundtrack includes some songs from games like Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas.
Any examples? Orange Colored Sky (Nat King Cole) that we can hear in the first episode or Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall (The Ink Spots) in the second episode. While the song We Three (also by Ink Spots we heard it for the first time in Fallout 76.
A nostalgic weapon
In the second episode of the series, Lucy and Maximus use a gun that doesn’t appear to be from Fallout 3, Fallout 4, or Fallout 76.
But it is still a very famous weapon among fans of the video game series and indeed it is one of the very first guns that we will have the opportunity to use in the first Fallout.
Sunset Sarsaparilla
It’s not just Nuka Cola! In the third episode of the Prime series, a billboard sponsors the Sunset Sarsaparilla drink. But does it really exist? No, but it’s another reference to video games and more specifically to Fallout New Vegas, where Sunset Sarsaparilla is a very popular beer.
