Anyone who grew up with the Smurfs you will remember very well the iconic village with the mushroom-shaped houses where the very nice protagonists lived, but who would have imagined that one day something like this would become reality? In Slovakia there is in fact a hotel with Smurfs’ houses: it’s called Chata Belez and offers a unique experience with the mushroom-shaped houses, famous in the cartoon, which have been faithfully reproduced and made available to guests.

Where is the fairy-tale Chata Belez hotel located and what does it look like

Hidden among the fascinating mountains of the Žilina region, in the picturesque town of Dolný Kubín in Slovakiafrom the outside thehotel Chata Belez It looks like a traditional one mountain village, with houses with sloping roofs that look like they came out of a postcard. One of these houses is blue, the other red, both decorated with white polka dots and the iconic fireplace is not missing, exactly as we saw in the Smurfs’ village. With attention to the smallest details, these houses offer children the opportunity to live a fairy tale, taking souvenir photos and letting their imagination fly.

However, the Kuboland play area is not limited to the Smurfs’ houses but is full of attractions that promise fun for the whole family: there are in fact two bouncy castles, one multicolored and the other inspired by the Spongebob cartoon – much loved by the little ones – which allow the little ones to overcome various obstacles, hide in a tunnel or slide down a slide, activities that allow them to spend hours playing together. Then there is one sandy area perfect for building castles and sculptures or digging a trench with a mini excavator, a wide lawn where children can run and play and also take advantage of four-wheeled toy cars of different sizes to run around freely.

How much does a holiday at the Chata Belez hotel cost

A holiday at Chata Belez is also economically accessible. In the high season, a stay three-night stay with access to Kuboland is offered at price of approximately 45 euros per person and which drops by about half (always per person) for families with for example two children: a fairly affordable figure for every family. The hotel also offers the possibility of doing one breakfast complete at the additional cost of 8 euros per person per day.
