The operation
The intervention had been planned for some time, but Calenda had decided to postpone it due to electoral commitments. «I will be out of action for a few days due to surgery that I postponed due to the election campaign. The effort in the European elections had been intense, although the result did not live up to expectations, with Action failing to reach the 4% threshold needed to enter the European Parliament.
Health
This is not the first time Calenda has faced health problems. Last December, he underwent another significant operation. On Christmas Eve, she told Rtl 102.5: «I had to have an operation, they cut me open like a cod, I’m not able to eat anything. It will be a very sad eve.” This surgery had had a significant impact on his health, forcing him to follow a strict diet.
