Wrong diagnosis and psychophysical consequences
The protagonist of this story is Raffaella Mennoia, television author of programs such as Men and women And Temptation Island, as well as a great friend of Maria De Filippi. In recent days, the woman shared an experience on Instagram which profoundly marked his life.
On the occasion of World Multiple Sclerosis Day, she said she was the victim of a medical error; which caused significant consequences for her physical as well as psychological health.
Years ago, following some physical ailments, Mennoia received a diagnosis of polyneuropathy, an autoimmune disease that would lead to the atrophy of some muscles. During this time, it didn’t take him long to realize that the other patients’ symptoms were different from his. Determined to see clearly, she went to the Mayo Clinic, a highly prestigious hospital abroad. After a short hospitalization, received a new diagnosis, which ruled out previously diagnosed autoimmune disease.
“Today, however, I want to support all those who experience the disease Multiple Sclerosis and encourage scientific research to find new therapies and a definitive cure,” he declared.
