Valeria Golino confesses, between work and private life, on the pages of Corriere della Sera. The actress and director she also talks about the relationship with the famous ex to whom she was linked from 2005 to 2016. “We love each other very much with Riccardo Scamarcio”, reveals. The 44-year-old colleague is now engaged to Benedetta Porcaroli, 26 years old. The artist reveals the serenity he experiences with her new boyfriend who is 24 years younger than herthe. Since 2018 she has been in a relationship with the 34-year-old Roman lawyer Fabio Palombi.
When asked if she is a serial liar, Golino confides: “They are less and less so. I was more of a liar as a child, I needed to be more. Maybe today I don’t need to seem more beautiful or better than I am. I understood that you can’t please everyone, whereas before it was a childhood desire of mine. I have earned the right not to justify myself. However, I don’t like being wrong.”
Not having become a mother doesn’t bother her, Valeria explains about her missed motherhood: “It weighed on me as I tried to become one. Now I see the children and I melt, but I don’t have that feeling of loss in my daily life. In fact, maybe I have a little relief. One adapts to what life offers you.”. On the passing of time and the transformations he says: “I struggle in everyday life to see the changes in my body, the maintenance so I need more vitamins, I have to walk more… For years I didn’t have to think about it. I see asymmetries that are created in the face, it’s not easy for a woman who does this job and has to constantly look at herself. On set I go less to see myself on the monitor. There is a disconnect between my perception of myself and who I really am”.
Here comes the question that refers to exes: can you become friends after you break up? “If you are referring to Riccardo Scamarcio or Fabrizio Bentivoglio (they had a long love story in the nineties, ed.), if you haven’t deliberately hurt yourself, you love each other very much. And it’s like that with the two of them. I too, with others, have done harm”, reveals. Then he goes straight to the new partner and adds: “For six years I have been with Fabio Palombi, who does not make films and is younger than me. For others I don’t think it’s a problem. Not even for me, not yet”. She believes in feeling, she betrayed, in her life path, “only when necessary”.
