On the doorstep of Highgrove House, the much-loved residence of Charles III in Gloucestershire, the king and David Beckham they smile knowingly and look like two old friends. The occasion is important, as told via social media by the former footballer, officially nominated King’s Foundation Ambassador, non-profit that supports many initiatives for young people, aimed at greater involvement of children in protecting the environment.

A theme dear to Charles III, an environmentalist since ancient times, who identified Beckham as the right spokesperson to talk to the new generations about safeguarding the planet. “I’m honored”, wrote the former champion on Instagram sharing some shots of the day, «It was inspiring to hear from Her Majesty about the Foundation’s plans and ambitions during my recent visit to Highgrove Gardens… As someone who grew up in London but has developed a love of the countryside, I look forward to supporting the Foundation’s educational programs and efforts to ensure young people have a greater understanding of nature.” The two, Beckham added, they also exchanged tips on beekeepingwho knows who is more expert on the subject, but certainly the king is someone who knows what he’s doing.
