The artistic director of Virgin Radio commented on the solo commitment of the bassist of the Roman group. «Rocker with other people’s ass»
Dj Ringo, artistic director of Virgin Radio launched into a comment against Victoria De Angelis, bassist of Maneksin, who opened the debate. After publishing a video of the singer at the console on her Instagram profile, engaged in her solo club tour, she wrote: «They are all rockers with other people’s asses. Rock here, rock there, band here, band there, musician here and there, but then everyone is DJing and playing shitty music…».
There were many comments, between those who saw her as the DJ and those who instead defended De Angelis, claiming the right to be able to diversify one’s commitments in the artistic field. Meanwhile the musician is performing in the most prestigious clubs throughout Europe, and beyond. Among those who supported Ringo’s position there was also his colleague Paolo Noise, who wrote: «In any case this is not being a DJ, but the cubist who chooses the tracks herself. Let’s not offend those who know how to do this job even in front of 20 people.”
