There offending shirt was shown shortly before the launch of new trailer and appeared on the Instagram profile of Reynolds: in a frame that has never been shown before we see Wade Wilson, comfortably seated in an armchair, reading a novel for adults, The Canadian Mounted, another reference to director Shawn Levy’s passion for the ’80s (the novel appears in A Ticket to Two by John Hughes). But what surprised fans was the item of clothing worn by the mercenary: a shirt featuring Ryan Gosling’s face.
Interviewed at Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of The Fall Guyan action-comedy in which he stars alongside Emily Blunt, Ryan Gosling responded in kind to the joke orchestrated by his colleague Reynolds:
“Come on, I just want my shirt back…He borrowed that shirt from me and I need it.”
The involuntary cameo of Ryan Gosling in the trailer of Deadpool & Wolverine it’s just the latest of the fun gimmicks linked to the film’s promotional activity. Already in Deadpool of 2016, for example, there was a cameo from the cast of X-Men: Apocalypse and in Deadpool 2 there was a cameo by Brad Pitt in the role of Vanisher, a superhero with the power of invisibility. That this detail on the Shirt by Wade Wilson may actually be a preview of the entrance of Ryan Gosling in the MCU or of his presence, as himself, with a brief cameo in the third film about the talkative mercenary?
