The Dacia Sandero, the best-selling car in Europe for the last 3 years, is ready to revolutionize itself in view of the new model, which will presumably be put on the market in two years, in 2026.
There are many new features awaiting the most marketed B-hatch on the Old Continent, the second best-selling car in Italy in 2023, as per the top 10 at the end of last year, starting with the fact that there will no longer be the Stepway version, which will instead become a model in its own right.
In fact, the new Sandero 4, also for a question of costs, will share as many items as possible with the Renault Clio 6 and also aesthetically the two cars will become increasingly similar. The current version appeared on the market 4 years ago, in 2020, based on the CMF-B platform of the Renault Clio 5, and is produced both in Morocco, precisely in Tangier and Casablanca (but only the Streetway version), while both the Step and the Street, are made in the historic factory in Pitesti, Romania.
The latest restyling arrived in 2022a slight internal and external revision, complete with a new logo “DC”, the one currently found across the entire range. So in two years there will be room for a brand new model which will share several elements with the sixth generation Renault Clio, but will still be perfectly distinguishable from the Stepway.
The latter, in the meantime, will become a model in its own right, a B-SUV that will be halfway between the Spring and the Duster, while the Sandero will remain only in the Streetway version, so the most “low” it’s more “city car”.
