MORE SKINNY – Two weeks after the first official images of the Fiat Grande Pandathe small car is back on the scene. This time it is the protagonist of the shots that appeared on Instagram It is the basic version, which is characterised by a set-up more spartan with white rims that recall those present on the 80s model. The car was “caught” on the streets of Turin during the filming of the television commercials. The new model is inspired by the original Panda, revisiting its lines in a modern key and, this particular set up, differs from the top of the range already seen. In addition to the aforementioned rims, it has no roof rails and fake aluminum skid plates, replaced by raw plastic not painted. The Panda writing is still imprinted on the profile, as is the Fiat emblem on the tailgate.
THERMAL OR ELECTRIC – The dimensions and technical specifications of the Fiat Grande Panda have yet to be officially revealed, but we know that the car is based on the global Smart Car platform (the same as the Citroën C3), and will have a length of 3.99 malso sharing the engines with the French compact car, which will be the 3 cylinder 1.2 turbo and 101 CV (it is the new engine with chain distribution instead of belt) or the 113 HP electric one with 43.7 kWh battery. The first, however, unlike what is offered on the C3, could be sold in version hybridcon robotized gearbox dual clutch.
NOTHING TO GO – Regarding the interior of the Fiat Grande Pandathe top-end trims are expected to get digital instrumentation, with entry-level variants likely to adopt a cheaper solution with a smartphone dock. The Fiat Grande Panda will be unveiled to the public on July 11, 2024, coinciding with the 125th anniversary of the Italian brand. Prices are expected to start at approximately 17,000 euros. The Fiat Grande Panda does not replace the Panda, which will continue to be sold until 2030.
