Answer. The rise in second-hand prices is one of the side effects of the sudden exhaustion of incentives. Before of June 3 the prices were rather depressed: with the rich bonuses arriving (up to 13,750 euros!), all the buyers’ attention was focused on the new one. But then the available funds ran out in a few hours and now, with zero incentives available, we go back to looking at used ones, with the effect of driving up prices. In another article we report the experience of Salvatore, a reader who had decided to sell his Dacia Spring precisely to change cars taking advantage of the upcoming incentives. In December he had agreed on a price of 13,000 euros, then reduced to 11,000 two months later. As the incentives came into force, the prices dropped again and in May he pretended to sell it to 7 thousand.
