The specter of price increases hovers over Italian holidaymakers, with Sardinia once again having to deal with the often prohibitive costs of air and sea connections during the summer season.

«For a return flight (10-17 August) a family with two children spends 924 euros to fly from Rome to Olbia (+15.5% on 2023), 770 euros from Milan to Cagliari (+5.6% ) and even almost 20% more (19.7%) if you travel from Rome to Cagliari (minimum price 686 euros)»calculate Assoutenti and Crc, which also report increases for beach establishments, bars and restaurants.
But the increases affect all regions in a general way: «A family with two children who decides to spend a week’s holiday in a seaside resort in our area – emerges from the survey – spends by booking today a three-star or equivalent category (meals excluded) for the period around Ferragosto from a minimum of 872 euros in Bibione to a maximum of 3,500 euros in Porto Cervo”.
Again, they are needed almost 2,600 euros in Baja Sardinia, around 2,200 euros in Amalfi, above 2 thousand euros also in Marina di Pietrasanta. The cheapest are Rapallo (909 euros) and Grado (967 euros).
Compared to the results of 2023, it turns out that the minimum expenditure for the 37 monitored seaside resorts rises on average by +19.6%, the survey highlights. For ferries, in the same period examined, the average increases are +6.3% on year.
