Be careful with this number, new telephone scam. Bank name used
Descriptive text here

It’s an alarm for a new one telephone scam which has caught on recently; once again criminals contact potential victims by pretending to be someone they are not in reality in the hope of being able to obtain money and/or sensitive data. In this case the scam consists in posing as a truly existing banking institution to gain the attention of the targeted person and convince him to carry out very risky operations for his savings.

Pay attention to the message

These days there are many reports arriving from people who claim to have received them messages very suspicious on your phone. Basically, users say they have received a message on their phone from their banking institution, or at least that’s what it seems like on the surface. The SMS has an alarmist tone. In fact, it is communicated that, for security reasons, the credit card has been blocked.

Cybercriminals, once again, worked hard to make the scam credible. In fact, the telephone number from which the trap message is sent is that ofNexi banking institution, a financial group that provides digital payment services and infrastructure. The contact in question is the following: +30 – 3802581244. In the message the victim is invited to click on a link to verify that his current account page is in order. This is one of the examples reported by Money.it: “Dear Customer, Nexi informs you that it has blocked your cards due to lack of PSD2 security, follow the UNBLOCK procedure by contacting: 3497045219“.

The same number, however, is also used for another scam, this time related to delivery of a package. The victim is asked to pay 2 euros in taxes to have it delivered to his home.

Recognize the scam

This is essentially a full-blown case of phishing, an online scam through which cybercriminals deceive the victim, convincing them to provide personal information, financial data or access codes. The advice is always to never click on link sent in suspicious messages, and remember that lenders never contact their customers in this way.

It’s good then ignore and delete the message.

Another thing to do is to contact the credit institution involved to inform them of what is happening.
