Stellantis, new stop in Mirafiori for the 500 and Maserati

The Mirafiori body shop stops again. Stellantis has announced new layoffs for all over 2,000 workers of the 500 electric and Maserati from Monday 22 April up to and including Monday 6 May. The new collective stop – explains Fismic Confsal – comes after the redundancy fund already underway for the 1,260 workers of the 500 electric and the solidarity contract in force until December on a rotating basis for the 960 employees of the Maserati line.

“Stalemate”

“This new cold shower for all the workers at the Mirafiori production site demonstrates how our united demonstration on Friday 12 April was a real cry of alarm and not alarmism – commented Sara Rinaudo, territorial secretary of Fismic Confsal -. Unfortunately, Mirafiori is in a situation of constant stalemate and uncertainty which increasingly affects all workers. We need a new model to save the site immediately, without taking time with announcements that remain vague and in the ether. As already stated, the entire 500 range must be allocated immediately within Mirafiori”.
